My condolences to you and your family....I'm very sadden by the demise of such a brave fighter,a bubbly, cheerful lady who had brought much laughter and joy to all around her...
Des's mom
My heartfelt condolences. I will always remember the bubbly girl I am fortunate enough to work with. I am glad that her suffering has ended, and is now closer to the Lord.
Shandy Jie Jie, I want to tell you that you had been very brave. My mommy always share encouraging tales from your blog to my granny, who is battling a stage 4 breast cancer.
Although you might have left us but the legacy you left behind with your blog will continue to fill the lives of cancer patients and their families with strength and courage.
Thank you, Shandy Jie Jie.
Shandy had spread her wings and flown home to the lord...
But she will always remain in our hearts Forever....

Edmund, my sincere condolences to you and your family. I didn't know Shandy personally. I did a search online after coming across her obituary in the papers today and found this blog.
What I read here not only deeply moved but inspired me. Shandy remained strong and positive throughout, despite the dreary treatments she had to undergo. She expressed herself in the most light-hearted way... yet I could sense her innate sadness and disappointment. I really, truly admire her spirit. We're about the same age but I can't say that I'm as brave. I'm sure she'll always be remembered for her jovial and loving ways. And you guys must be so proud of her. She's in a better place now, with God.
Take care of yourselves, everyone. And live life to the fullest when you still can. No regrets.
I am extremely saddened to read this post. My deepest and most heartfelt condolences to you and your family on the passing of your beloved sister. May she rest in God's hands and bless her soul.
rest in peace babe. you'll always be remembered as the bubbly prefect in tk tech from 1991-1994.....
Dearest Shandy
You have been very brave fighting the battle and we will always remember you as a sweet and cheerful girl! I am sure God will take good care of you in Heaven!
It's you who got me to learn how to "blog".
Dear Edmund
My deepest condolences to you and your family. I came across Shandy's obituary in the papers and found her name familiar. I can't be 100% sure but I believe we may have met at Surrey University in 1998. I transferred to another school not long after and we lost touch but I do remember her as being very kind.
Regardless, Shandy's story has touched me, especially because I lost my mother to cancer too. My mother had been diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma on the last day of May of this year and passed away in August. It had been and still is a trying time for me and my family but the Lord continues to guide us and keep us in peace and I wish you and your family the same.
God Bless.
Though I am not exactly close to Shandy, I am greatly saddened by the news of her demise. My condolences to her family.
Dear Edmund
My condolences to you and your family.........
I only knew Shandy thru her blog and have always been encouraged by her strength and positiveness. I came to "know" Shandy at a time I knew that my son's 5th operation had been a failure yet again and was on the verge of giving up but upon reading Shandy's blog I became stronger and learnt that life is not about giving up. Thought she is no longer around she has touched many lives with her fighting spirit esp mine, THANK YOU DEAR ANGEL AND MAY YOU REST IN PEACE.
Her blog had given me strength to fight my battles but her passing is a terrle blow to the inspiration that she had given us!However,I reason that not every battle is won physically, the bravery in the battle is a light in itself!Thanks,Shandy..I know that she is happy with God now!
Jas
you know, sometimes you have to know about the misfortunate before you can appreciate being fortunate
her experiences has certainly taught us about the greatness/sadness of what life offers
many people cry over small, minute, unimportant things, and usually forgo the bigger picture.
she has definitely taught me that the world doesn't revolve around me, but instead, i revolve around the world.
thank you for your spirited inspiration and may you have a deserving "future" :)
Sincere Condolences... Shandy had been a very brave ger ... any one lesser would have collapsed... May god bless everyone.. carez
Hi, I don't know her personally but I met and interacted with Shandy on a few occasion in the bank. She was a nice and cheerful person.
My condolences to you and your family.
